One of the reasons our skin starts to lose its youthful glow is because dead skin cells build up on the surface of the skin. These dead skin cells tend to absorb light, making your skin appear sallow and lacklustre. The solution therefore is to gently lift these cells from the surface of the skin using a combination of chemical and or physical exfoliaton.
The Treatment
This month we have been working with SK:N Clinics, who showed us the new Innerpeel®. Unlike other peels that remove the outer layers of the skin, it is a milder but just as effective peel that works from the inside out. Instead of sloughing off layers of skin, it encapsulates the exfoliating ingredients so that they are not released until they reach the deeper layers of the skin. As a result, peeling and redness are avoided and downtime is minimal, two days at the most.
1. The Innerpeel® TCA (strength 25%), which was done on Carol who is 60 years old. This peel will improve colour, freshness, texture, skin tone, and fine wrinkles. It will also help to remove superficial discoloration, such as age spots.

2. Innerpeel® Modified Jessner’s. This is the deepest peel in the range, which must be supervised by a doctor, this is an excellent stand alone acne treatment that also works well as an anti-ageing exfoliator, containing lactic, salicyclic and pyruvic acids plus the anti-ageing ingredient resorsinal. This peel was done on Michelle who is 36 and wanted to improve the quality and colour of her complexion.
